About the Uni3 Campus and the Lindholmen area – a vibrant home for innovators

Step into in the Uni3 campus, a dynamic hub at Lindholmen for innovators and visionaries. This unique campus is a melting pot of the industry’s brightest, offering a comprehensive suite of office amenities and services. In addition to office space and co-working areas, Uni3 serves as a destination for dining and relaxation, offering a diverse selection of restaurants, venues for events, and a hotel.

 

Nestled in the heart of Gothenburg’s Lindholmen area, Uni3 stands as a testament to the area’s dynamic transformation. Once an old shipyard, Lindholmen is now a bustling innovation hub, often likened to an engineering Silicon Valley. As part of this evolution, Uni3 champions the spirit of openness and collaboration.

Historical footprint

After Geely Holding’s acquisition of Volvo Cars in 2010, the Geely footprint expanded significantly in Gothenburg and the need for dedicated office space grew. As a result, the initiative for a corporate campus emerged in 2016-2017 under the project name “Geely Innovation Centre”. Construction began in 2018, 2019 the brand concept for Uni3 was born, and by 2020, the first building was completed. Five  additional buildings were completed between 2020 and 2024, with the final sixth building, Lighthouse by Uni3 inagurated in September 2024 Uni3 Campus is complete.

Inspired by nature, designed in a beautiful symbiosis of function and form. The Uni3 Campus breathes openness and innovation.

Fact and figures

Spanning six buildings, the Uni3 campus is a bustling hub for nearly 4,500 talents and around 100 companies.

Uni3 Main Building

As the heart of the campus, Uni3 Main Building houses 3 000 individuals and offers a blend of traditional offices and dynamic co-working spaces. It is also the home to eateries, a driving simulator, and a conference and events center accommodating up to 600 attendees.

Lynk & Co Building

The European headquarters for Lynk & Co, a Geely mobility brand, poised to revolutionize car ownership models for the connected generation.

Geely Design Center Gothenburg

A design powerhouse led by automotive design maestro, Stefan Sielaff, shaping the future of brands like Lynk & Co and Zeekr.

Clarion Hotel The Pier

More than just a hotel, it is a sensory journey featuring bars, wellness areas, conference facilities, and the exquisite restaurant, Fei.

Lighthouse by Uni3

Lighthouse by Uni3 was inaugurated in September 2024.  This multi-tenant facility will further enhance Uni3’s offerings with its own reception, restaurant, and diverse meeting spaces. Last but not least an amazing roof terrace on floor 12 with a bridge that connects Lighthouse by Uni3 with Clarion Hotel The Pier.

Design Concept:

A fusion of heritage and innovation

 

Drawing from rich cultural inspirations, the design concept for Uni3 intertwines the essence of two great traditions. The five Chinese elements – wood, fire, earth, metal, and water – are harmoniously integrated with Sweden’s centuries-old glass heritage. The result is a collection of stunning buildings, each enveloped in different colored glass, all standing on a solid foundation of bricks symbolizing the earth.

Contemporary light volumes of glass rise from a solid base of brick, evoking the surrounding shipyard history.

Legacy & partnership: bridging centuries of collaboration

 

China and Sweden share a rich history of collaboration. As early as 1731, ships set sail from Gothenburg to China, initiating centuries of trade and partnership. Initially, the focus was on prized goods such as silk, tea, and porcelain. Over time, our ties expanded into areas like research, development, and cultural exchanges.

 

Uni3 represents the latest chapter in this shared journey, bridging Gothenburg and China through entrepreneurship and innovation. It is a testament to our combined legacy, spanning from the vibrant trade of the 18th century to today’s advanced automotive industry. Truly, a blend of Eastern and Western heritage.
